flying with poi

Alright so I haven't been anywhere on a plane since the rules got more strict. I'm heading up to SEA at the end of May and I want (well need.. lol) to take my poi with me. I'm not gonna worry about trying to take wicks, I'm just going to ship them there. So what I was wondering is how much hassle they give you about just practice poi. I've hear of people having some trouble with juggling balls some times, so what would be the best kind of poi to take with me? My favorite set of poi have sand filled balloons in them, do you think that is a problem since I can't open them up?

Just figured I'd ask, I dont like suprises of that sort. ha

I pack my fire poi head in the checked luggage. I put a note in there that there is no fuel, only kevlar. I get searched every time anyway, have a nice collection of TSA notices. chains and such might not do well in carry-on. practice poi of socks and tennis balls should be fine. Check whatever you can check. sand filled balloons might look like heroin filled balloons on an x-ray, but they're really worried about explosives and if it doesn't look like a bomb, you should be okay.

I fly with my Triple Head Cathedrals constantly. Surprisingly, the only thing I've ever been stopped for and said I couldn't take on the plane, was this Crystal 4" Acrylic from Neon Husky. Security said it was a threat. I did a neck roll and some isolations to prove I wouldn't hurt anyone though ^^ But yeah, I'd say you're safe if you don't take it on carry-on, and put it in a nice plastic bag as brought up previous to this response.

    With happiness,
